Data Protection

You can normally use our website without sharing any personal data. If personal data (e.g. name, address or email address) is collected on our website, it will always be provided voluntarily where possible. This data will only be transferred to third parties with your express consent.

Please note that data transferred via the Internet (e.g. email communication) may be affected by security issues. Data cannot be completely protected against third-party access.

Third parties are strictly prohibited from using our contact details – published in accordance with our obligation to provide an imprint – for the distribution of unsolicited advertising and information materials. The operators of the site expressly reserve the right to take legal action if they are sent unsolicited advertising, such as spam emails.

Categories of Data, Purpose of Data Processing and Legal Basis

As part of our collaboration with business partners, we process personal data for the following purposes:

  • To communicate with business partners regarding products and services, e.g. to respond to enquiries sent by a business partner;
  • To plan, execute and manage our (contractual) relationships with business partners, e.g. to process orders for products and services; to collect payments; to keep accounts, issue invoices and collect receivables; and to carry out deliveries, maintenance and repairs;
  • To comply with legal requirements (e.g. data retention obligations imposed by tax and commercial law);

For the purposes listed above, we may process the following categories of personal data:

  • Contact details, e.g. first and last name, business address, business phone number, business mobile number, business fax number and business email address;
  • Payment details, e.g. information required to process payments; and
  • Any other information that must be processed within the scope of a contractual relationship with us.

The processing of personal data is necessary to fulfil these purposes, including the execution of (contractual) relationships with our business partners. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR or your explicit consent (Art. (6) (1) (a) GDPR).

Transfer and Disclosure of Personal Data

We work with service providers (e.g. processors) in areas like IT maintenance. These service providers act exclusively according to our instructions and are contractually obliged to comply with the applicable data protection requirements.

Retention Periods

If no explicit retention period is specified when your data is collected (e.g. through a declaration of consent), your personal data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purposes for which it was originally stored, unless such deletion is prevented by statutory retention requirements (e.g. those stipulated under commercial and tax law).

Right to Access, Rectification and Erasure; Right to the Restriction of Processing; Right to Object; and Right to Data Portability

In accordance with the applicable data protection legislation, you may have the right:

  • To request confirmation as to whether we are processing your personal data, and to obtain access to any personal data we are processing and further information;
  • To request the rectification of any incorrect personal data;
  • To request the deletion of any personal data we are processing;
  • To receive any personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, or to request the transfer of this personal data to a third party; or
  • To object to the processing of your personal data.

Contact Form

If you send us an enquiry via the contact form, the information you provide – including your contact details – will be stored to enable us to process and respond to your enquiry. We will not share this data without your consent.

Revocation of Consent

If you have consented to the processing of your personal data, you may revoke your consent at any time with future effect; this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out with your consent before it was revoked.

1. Access Data and Hosting

You can visit our website without providing any personal data. Every time you access one of our web pages, our web server will automatically store a so-called “server log file”, which will document your request and contain data like the name of the requested file, your IP address, the date and time of your request, the volume of data transferred and the requesting provider (access data).

This access data will be analysed exclusively for the prevention of malfunctions on our website and the improvement of our services. This is necessary to safeguard our overriding legitimate interest in the correct presentation of our website, as stipulated in Art. 6 (1) Sentence 1 (f) GDPR. All access data will be deleted within seven days after your visit to our website.

Third-Party Hosting Services
We commission a third party to process the data required to provide services for the hosting and presentation of our website. This is necessary to safeguard our overriding legitimate interest in the correct presentation of our website. All data collected through the use of this website or through the forms provided on our online store, as described below, are processed on its servers. This data will only be processed on other servers within the scope described herein.

This service provider is based in a Member State of the European Union or the European Economic Area.

2. SSL Encryption

This site uses SSL encryption to ensure security and protect the transmission of sensitive data, such as any enquiries that you send us as the site operator. You can tell whether an encrypted connection has been established, because your browser’s address bar will have changed from “http://” to “https://” and a padlock symbol will be displayed in your browser bar. If SSL encryption is enabled, third parties will not be able to intercept any data you send us.

3. Data Transfer

In the interest of performing our contractual duties in accordance with Art. 6 (1) Sentence 1 (b) GDPR, we will forward your data to the responsible shipping company, provided this is necessary for the delivery of the ordered goods. Depending on the payment service provider you select when placing an order, we will forward your payment details to the credit institution commissioned to process the payment, and these may also be forwarded to our commissioned payment service providers or the selected payment service. Some of this data will also be collected by the selected payment service providers themselves if you open an account with them. If this is the case, you must log in to your account with the payment service provider when placing your order. If you choose to do so, the privacy policy of the respective payment service provider will apply.

4. Cookies and Web Analysis

We use cookies on various pages of our website to improve our user experience, to enable certain functions, to display relevant products and to carry out market research. This is necessary to safeguard our overriding legitimate interest in the optimised presentation of our website, as stipulated in Art. 6 (1) Sentence 1 (f) GDPR. Cookies are small text files that are automatically stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use will be deleted at the end of your browsing session, i.e. when you close your browser (session cookies). Other cookies will remain on your device, allowing us to recognise your browser next time you visit our website (persistent cookies). You can find out how long each cookie is stored by checking your browser’s cookie settings. You can set your browser to inform you about the placement of cookies, so that you can decide whether or not to accept each one and whether to reject cookies in specific cases or in general. Each browser has a different way of managing cookie settings. You can find out how to change your cookie settings by reading through your browser’s help menu. You can find the right one for your browser via the following links:

Rejecting cookies may restrict the functionality of our website.

As part of our use of Google Analytics (see below), this website also uses a “DoubleClick cookie” to enable the identification of your browser when you visit other websites. This is necessary to safeguard our overriding legitimate interest in the optimal marketing of our website, as stipulated in Art. 6 (1) Sentence 1 (f) GDPR. The information automatically generated by cookies on your visit to this website will be transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. As IP anonymisation is activated on this website, however, Google will firstly truncate your IP address before transferring data within Member States of the European Union or other Contracting States to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Your full IP address will only be transferred to a Google server in the USA and then truncated afterwards in exceptional circumstances. The anonymised IP address transmitted by your browser through Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

Google will use this information to compile reports on website activities and provide other services related to the use of this website. This is necessary to safeguard our overriding legitimate interest in the optimal marketing of our website. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if prescribed by law or if such third parties have been commissioned to process such data. If we no longer use Google DoubleClick for the purposes described above, the data collected in this way will be deleted. Google DoubleClick is a service provided by Google LLC (www.google.de).
Google LLC is headquartered in the USA and certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. Its current certificate can be viewed here. You can also set your browser to inform you about the placement of cookies, so that you can decide whether or not to accept each one and whether to reject cookies in specific cases or in general. Rejecting cookies may restrict the functionality of our website.

Use of Google (Universal) Analytics
This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a website analysis service provided by Google LLC (www.google.de). This is necessary to safeguard our overriding legitimate interest in the optimised presentation of our website, as stipulated in Art. 6 (1) Sentence 1 (f) GDPR. Google (Universal) Analytics uses things like cookies to analyse your use of the website. The information generated automatically on your use of this website will usually be transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. You can stop the data generated by cookies on your use of the website (including your IP address) from being transferred to Google for processing by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

As an alternative to the browser plug-in, you can click on this link to prevent your data from being collected by Google Analytics on this website in the future. This will place an opt-out cookie on your device. If you delete your cookies, you will have to re-click the link.

5. Advertising via Marketing Networks

Google AdWords Remarketing
We use Google AdWords to advertise this website in Google search results and on third-party websites. Google will place a Remarketing cookie on your device when you visit our website to enable interest-based advertising by using a pseudonymous CookieID and analysing the sites you have visited. This is necessary to safeguard our overriding legitimate interest in the optimal marketing of our website, as stipulated in Art. 6 (1) Sentence 1 (f) GDPR. If we no longer use Google AdWords Remarketing for the purposes described above, the data collected in this way will be deleted.

Your data will only be processed further if you have allowed Google to link your Google web and app browsing history to your Google Account and to use information from your Google Account to personalise the ads you see on the web. If you are logged in to your Google Account during your visit to our website, Google will use your data alongside Google Analytics data to create and define target group lists for cross-device remarketing. For this purpose, Google will temporarily link your personal data to its Google Analytics data to form target groups.

Google AdWords Remarketing is a service provided by Google LLC (www.google.de). Google LLC is headquartered in the USA and certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. Its current certificate can be viewed here. As a result of this agreement between the USA and the European Commission, the latter has established an appropriate level of data protection for companies certified under the Privacy Shield.
