Nachhaltigkeit in der Praxis: Es sind eine Straße und grüne Felder zu sehen.

Sustainability in practice

As the market leader for secure vehicle identification, TÖNNJES does not focus exclusively on economic factors: the company has firmly anchored the principles of sustainability in its philosophy and consistently implements them as a central aspect of its daily work.

Foundation stones for a future-oriented society

“We believe that global companies have an overriding role to play when it comes to shaping a sustainable and, above all, functioning future,” says Jörn Bertram, Managing Director of TÖNNJES. “Sustainability concepts and social responsibility show that we care about our planet, future generations, but also our employees and partners around the world and want to improve their future.”

Innovations for a better future

In recent years, the Delmenhorst-based company has taken various other steps in the value chain: TÖNNJES takes care to use raw materials from responsible sources, production processes are optimised to conserve resources and energy, and global logistics chains are also designed to avoid further harming the climate. A special component: the global joint venture strategy. Local production facilities and local expertise make it easier to implement logistical processes. Long transport routes are eliminated.

“We also live the idea of innovation and act accordingly,” adds Bertram. “We invest in the research and further development of our products every year in order to make them more cost-efficient and sustainable at the same time. In addition, our innovative identification solutions in particular help to advance the mobility sector in terms of sustainability.”

Act locally, think globally

The TÖNNJES INTERNATIONAL GROUP is not yet at the end of its mission – sustainable concepts, efficient raw materials and optimised processes are constantly being identified and implemented for the future. The company also attaches great importance to ensuring that fair working conditions prevail at its production sites around the world and that employees receive continuous training and development. This strengthens individuals and local communities at the same time.
